Water Activity/Moisture Measurement

Moisture Analysers

As the name suggests, Moisture Analysers detect the moisture content of a substance. This piece of equipment is used throughout the food production industry, most commonly for the measurement of liquids, pastes, and solids. Examples include milk, fruit juice, yoghurt, ketchup, bread, and flour.


Water Activity Meters

Water Activity Meters measure the amount of unbound (or free) water in a product. It essentially measures the way in which the water in a food product reacts with microorganisms such as bacteria, yeast, and mould. Some of the most common products to be tested using a Water Activity Meter are butter, spices, mushrooms, sausages, and cheese.
