The VRFM300-M Series refractometer is specifically designed to measure challenging samples such as fruit juice with pulp and opaque chemical compounds, making them stand out in situations where optical or other digital refractometers fall short. Their ergonomic casing is engineered to prevent spills through its sloping shape and a PEEK spill barrier that surrounds the easy-to-clean stainless steel prism dish.

These refractometers feature a durable membrane crafted from chemical and scratch-resistant polyester, offering a tactile and user-friendly interface with large, clear buttons and a 4" high-resolution screen. This design facilitates smooth operation in factory settings, aided by the latest GUI and on-screen prompts, making tasks like Method loading, calibration, and routine maintenance accessible even for new staff members.

Incorporating standard RFID swipe technology, these refractometers ensure operator clearance and maintain a log of functions, particularly beneficial in FDA-regulated environments following 21 CFR Part 11 or adhering to best practices like HACCP.

Measurement options with the RFM300-M encompass both familiar measuring modes and a straightforward Methods system with one-touch configuration for scale, temperature, and data storage. They can store up to 8000 results alongside preset limits, serving as an audit tool. Users can either define custom Methods or select from the onboard library. For instance, the 'Coffee Solids' Method enables input of coffee type and daily offsets, ensuring that the refractometer's %TS measurements in the factory align with laboratory tests for freeze-drying process configuration, ultimately producing high-quality instant coffee powder.
