Lumitester A3 SMART

Working in tandem with our Lucipac swabs (sold separately), the Lumitester A3 Smart System detects all organic residue and microorganisms on surfaces and in liquids, determining levels of cleanliness within seconds.

A3 Technology detects not only ATP, but also the lower-energy molecules ADP and AMP. Consequently, it offers you far greater visibility and sensitivity than conventional ATP tests.

You will find more information in the Product Description below. Alternatively, you can click here to discuss a trial or trade-in with our team.

ATP testing is a traditional method for ascertaining how well a surface has been cleaned and whether or not any organic residue remains. However, ATP is an unstable molecule that often degrades to ADP and AMP. When this happens, it becomes undetectable to a traditional ATP test.

In contrast, the A3 Lumitester Smart System is able to detect all forms of organic residue: ATP, ADP, and AMP. It offers unmatched sensitivity, allowing your team to detect residues that were previously overlooked.

Thanks to the system's Bluetooth compatibility, you can wirelessly transfer the results of your A3 test to your device (e.g. mobile, tablet, computer). There is also the option to use a cable. Alternatively, you can store and present your data via the cloud-based app.

The Lumitester A3 Smart System was awarded the Invention Implementation Achievement Award at the 2024 National Commendation of Invention hosted by the Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation.

  • Highly sensitive, precise measurement of ATP, ADP and AMP, giving far superior sensitivity than conventional ATP meters.
  • Auto-calibration.
  • Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC).
  • Set your own limits for pass/fail results.
  • Bluetooth connection to app for storage of measurement results in the Cloud, allowing you to access the results from anywhere.
  • Data visualisation in the app makes the measurement results easy to see and analyse in detail.
  • Free Technical Support Available.
  • 12 month warranty.
  • Next day delivery for all swabs meaning there is no need to keep stock of swabs on site.

Swab Storage Conditions

The LuciPac A3 Swabs should be stored at 2-8°C and should never be frozen. Under these conditions, they should be suitable for use until the expiry date on the box. We endeavour to supply the swabs with an expiry date of 12 months minimum. Alternatively, if you choose to store the swabs at 25°C, they will last 14 days unopened, and if you store them at 30°C, they will last five days unopened.

Working closely with a team of microbiologists, Klipspringer provides ongoing support for your A3 system. This involves helping you to choose the right number of swabs for each order and giving you the option of staggering your deliveries to secure swabs with the optimum lifespan.

Certification

The LuciPac A3 Surface System has been evaluated by the AOAC® Performance Tested Methods℠ Program and was found to perform to the manufacturer’s specifications. The two laboratories that independently carried out this testing were the NSF International and Q Laboratories.

The A3 System and Allergen Management

As with conventional ATP tests, the A3 System can NOT be used for the direct detection of allergens. However, due to its ability to detect all forms of organic residue, the A3 system could support your allergen management program. The reason for this is fairly simple: Proper Cleaning = Reduced Risk of Allergen Cross-Contact.

ATP (adenosine triphosphate) is a molecule found in all living cells. Food factories will often test for ATP when they are trying to determine the overall hygiene levels of a surface, as a positive ATP test shows organic residue is still present. However, it is a common misconception that a negative ATP test proves the opposite. In fact, even with a negative result, adenosine molecules could still be present in the form of ADP and AMP. Click here to find out more.
Unlike traditional ATP tests, the A3 meter can detect all forms of organic residue: ATP, ADP and AMP. This allows it to offer much more accurate results than ATP tests, especially after common processes such as cleaning, heating, processing, and fermentation have taken place. Click here to find out more.
The A3 meter introduces recycling enzymes that allow for conversion between all three adenosine molecules. The introduction of the PK Enzyme allows for the conversion of ADP to ATP and the introduction of the PPDK Enzyme allows for the conversion of AMP to ATP. This enables the A3 meter to carry out a simultaneous measurement of ATP, ADP, and AMP. Click here to find out more.
As with traditional ATP tests, the A3 system does not directly test for allergens. However, unlike conventional ATP tests, it is able to detect all organic residue. This means that it can help to monitor the risks of allergen contamination. By first carrying out a quick and cost-effective A3 test, your team can decide if a surface is ready to be tested by a more time-consuming and costly allergen test – saving money and driving standards of efficiency.
