If you would like to run the power to the AccessPoint using the Ethernet cable, you can acquire a Power-over-Ethernet cable set (POE kit) LSA-202 or LSA-203. This set will allow you to combine the Ethernet signal from your switch and the power from the supplied power adapter over a standard Ethernet cable and splitting the two at the AccessPoint.
PoE support
To connect an AccessPoint, you normally need a power supply and a network cable.
Now we also introduce an active PoE set. What’s the difference?
LSA-202 -Passive PoE: White cable set. At the location of the switch you use the combiner to combine power from the supplies power adapter and data from the switch. At the AccessPoint you use the splitter to split the data and power before entering the AccessPoint. Please ensure both parts are used.
LSA-203 - Active PoE: When the customer has a POE enabled Switch the switch does provide both power and data and you only need to split them using the black active POE splitter before entering the AccessPoint.
