Klipspringer's Rapid Allergen Test Kits PRO are intended for the qualitative detection of allergenic proteins in both unprocessed and highly processed food, as well as on environmental surfaces (swab test), and in rinse water samples.
This Lateral Flow Immunoassay provides a clear positive/negative result and the kit comes ready to use, with the pre-prepared Extraction Solution and all other necessary materials included.
Why choose Klipspringer's Rapid Allergen Test Kits PRO?
- Accurate allergen detection, even in highly processed and heated foods.
- Easier to use and less expensive than ELISA tests.
- Includes ready-to-use Extraction Solution.
- Minimises risk of false negatives due to unique Extraction Solution.
- No additional Buffer Solution required for testing.
- Limit of Detection: 5ppm
How does this test kit detect target proteins from both raw materials and highly processed food samples?

Recommended extraction procedure for food samples:
1) Grind and mix the test food sample to homogeneity with a contamination-free homogeniser/blender.
2) Put 1g of the homogenised sample into a polypropylene tube and add one pack of Extraction Solution. Then, vortex the capped tube for 30 seconds.
3) Place the capped tube in 90°C water for 10 minutes. Then, place the tube under running water to cool the tube down to ambient temperature. Vortex for 30 seconds.
4) Stand the tube for a few minutes to let the sample settle down, then collect the supernatant as a Sample Extract.
Preparation of test solution:
1) Using a pipette, dispense 900 μL of Diluent into a polypropylene tube.
2) Add 100 μL of Sample Extract to the tube.
3) Mix well to produce the Test Solution.
Assay procedures:
1) Place a Test Stick horizontally and add 200 μL of Test Solution to the Sample Application Slot.
2) Incubate at room temperature for 15 minutes.
Results:
A) Positive: A red-purple line in the test window together with red colour in a confirmation window.
B) Negative: No line in the test window together with a red colour in a confirmation window.
C) Invalid: No colour in the confirmation window.
